Parson's Role in 1984:
Parsons embodies the perfect Party member, and he has the ideal Party family with two children who are dedicated to being Junior Spies. He is even proud when his daughter turns him in for muttering “Down with Big Brother” in his sleep. In spite of remaining dedicated to the Party’s ideals, Orwell’s ending for Parsons suggest that even the most loyal Party member may have subconscious desires to rebel.
